Paid Social Account Director

What it takes to be a Paid Social Account Director at Launch

You will work within a team of paid media specialists, reporting into the Head of Paid Social and deliver for clients on their paid media campaigns.  You will focus primarily on paid social (Meta technologies, Pinterest & TikTok), but will also support on YouTube campaigns where appropriate. 

Responsible for ensuring high-level account management and best practice in paid social account management, you will be a role model for excellence within the agency. 

The Paid Social Account Director is a crucial day to day paid social project lead role within Launch. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the creative and delivery of paid social content, as well as the ongoing account management of projects & campaigns. You will work closely with other internal teams (CRO, measurement and search teams), external media partners, and clients.  

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Paid Social Lead, that gives clear, decisive, and thoughtful direction on campaigns and individual projects. 
  • Leads development of social campaign briefs and is involved in the longer-term planning of the paid social department  
  • Able to work confidently, owning projects from brief to delivery. 
  • When you are the client lead on projects, you are responsible for quality of output on projects amongst the team. 
  • Thinks beyond the day-to-day to next 6 months and plans for longer term opportunities against the clients ‘North Star’.  
  • Brings strategic insight to discussions and can focus internal teams and clients back to the main goal or objective  
  • Drives forward impactful creative, partnering with the experimentation team to push creative excellence  
  • Develops a strong relationship with the client and is able to hold their own with senior stakeholders internally and externally. 
  • Highly effective at managing upwards and raising issues of concern quickly to the Head of Paid Social. 
  • Responsible for financials on projects & Identifies out of scope opportunities. 
 

Client Management and External Parties 

  • Maintain excellent communication, ensuring all parties are kept up to date on projects and any implications regarding delays. 
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the client’s business, brand and processes. 
  • Manage client expectations across all social and paid work. 
  • Be able to always act in a professional manner, and in stressful situations. 
  • Attend external client meetings, and meetings with other agencies when needed. 
 

Technology 

  • Excellent understanding of social platforms (Meta, TikTok & Pinterest) 
  • Excellent understanding of GA4 
  • Able to use creative software to edit client content or design mock ups for clients and prospects – Canva, Photoshop and In-design  

Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of how data is critical to social campaigns with a strong understanding of GA4 and attribution models 
  • A passion for creative and enjoys being on top of industry trends & creative AI 
  • At least 5 years of experience in executing and reporting on work across Meta, Pinterest & TikTok  
  • Experience of guiding in-house teams in best practice on paid social channels. 
  • Ability to juggle workload and deliver all effectively 
  • Ability to delegate work to achieve a high quality of output  
  • Able to deliver and hit all deadlines  
  • Ability to train and develop members of the team in paid social best practice  
  • Experience in creating social content 
  • Experience in creative experimentation & testing

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 dependent on experience. Part time also considered.
