Paid Media Director (Exeter Based)

What it takes to be a Paid Media Director at Launch

Ideally located in the Exeter area, you’ll lead a team of paid media specialists, reporting into the Head of Paid Media and deliver for clients on their paid media campaigns – focusing on Paid Search and Paid Social, but also Amazon and Programmatic.  

Responsible for ensuring a high-level customer service, best practice in PPC account management, you will be a role model for excellence for your team and within the agency. You’ll be deeply embedded in the latest digital media execution across paid channels and educate and train your team on best-in-class implementation.  

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Train, manage and lead a team of media buyers

     

  • Manage a portfolio of clients paid media campaigns across multiple platforms

     

  • Commercial accountability for the revenue growth within pod

  • Contribute to the development of the whole agency through group training sessions

  • Management of team time allocation and project management where appropriate to ensure timely and efficient delivery

  • Manage, define and lead training programs for media platforms

  • Deep understanding of pods clients and able to step in and deal with escalations

  • Advocate best practice in processes and tasks for media buying

  • Leverage industry and media owner trends and developments to actively improve the Launch offering across the whole agency

  • Staying up to date with the latest in digital marketing

  • Be a symbol of thought leadership, participating in blog writing, webinars, and speaking events 

Essential skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Partner agency offering paid media management

  • In-depth knowledge of paid media platforms – Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc.

  • An understanding of wider marketing principles: understanding user journeys and how to influence them through paid campaigns, implementing effective marketing messaging at all stages of the funnel

  • Comfortable challenging the norm

  • Ability to lead and present deliverables across all relevant media platforms

  • Strong commercial Awareness

  • Some experience pitching paid media campaigns and helping grow revenue when the time has been right for the client

  • Ambition to create & deliver award winning client work 

  • Excellent communication skills, including having challenging conversations about campaign performance, not all tests go well after all

  • A desire to build on your knowledge and better yourself within the digital marketing world

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience. Part time also considered.
