Alice is a Senior Paid Media Executive working in the paid social team. She has a background in design which helps inform the creative aspects of her role. She also refers to herself as ‘a self-confessed social nerd’, always making sure she’s up-to-date on the latest updates to Meta, Tik Tok or Pinterest.

To get to know Alice better, we asked her some questions about working in the paid social space.

What’s the best thing about working in paid social?

I love working in paid social – one of my favourite things is being able to see people’s reactions to your client’s ads in real time. I love working with a client to help them realise their vision for socials, and helping to inform their creative using data-backed findings.

What’s your favourite new development in paid social?

The social media landscape is constantly changing and evolving, especially with the introduction of AI, and I love reviewing the work we’re doing to ensure we’re maximising our results for clients. Within the social team we make a point of sharing new updates and handy tools all the time, so we can keep innovating.

Is there a platform you feel is underutilised or underrated?

It’s got to be Pinterest for me – it’s a platform often overlooked with the Meta giant but it really shouldn’t be. Especially for e-commerce clients, the visual nature of the platform, combined with the way ads are served. And let’s not forget that shoppers on Pinterest spend 40% more per month than people on other platforms (Source).

How does it feel to become a Loller?

It feels great to be a Loller! I’ve been here six months now and I couldn’t feel more at home. I love being part of a team that is not only incredibly supportive of everyone, but also challenges you to be your best self and produce your best work every day (sometimes fuelled by biscuits…).

Last but not least, what’s your favourite karaoke tune?

Despite being known as Launch’s in-house Swiftie, I would actually pick Does Your Mother Know by ABBA… Closely followed by Love Story by Taylor Swift….
